Biography: |
| | A graduate of the Victoria College of Art, Bev has travelled widely, and enjoyed four careers: x-ray technician, realtor, artist and Mother. She counts the successful lives of her three adult children as her most important achievement. She aims for visually intriguing pieces, reflective of the complexity in each of our lives. Her art is shown in leading galleries in the Pacific Northwest. An award winning cover piece for a Vancouver magazine was displayed in the National Library, Ottawa. An image was acquired by Microsoft. She lives in Duncan, B.C.
" But what is it all about? What is the artist trying to say?" ’My answer to these questions is that there is no answer! Paradoxically, the viewer loses something when he/she asks the question. I think that Art, except when representing reality, needs to be enjoyed as an interaction of colour, shape and/or line between the observer, and the surface looked upon. One’s own experience will dictate the response felt.’ |
