| Artist's Comments: | Mary Oscar was born in Ocean Falls and came to Crofton in 1963, she has no formal training, but has drawn since early childhood. Having a love of animals, she has portrayed many peoples pets in pastels. She can paint in most mediums but prefers oils and pastels. She painted a mural for the Crofton Community Centre in 1992 which depicted Crofton from the water. Mary has enjoyed taking lessons from many talented artists and the camaraderie of fellow artists.
